In order to plan, you may need to know that everyone is going to be required to have a passport. You should find out if you need a passport and how long it could take to get that passport and where to get it.

As of 2007, there are 300,000,000+ citizens. It is predicted ½ will have a passport in 4 years. As of 2007 about ¼ of the citizens currently have passports. So, another 75,000,000 are expected to get a passport in the 4 years. DO THE MATH:

What if they all want to apply this year? As the population grows, so does the line because infants have to have passports too.

The government system (http://travel.state.gov) has been over whelmed causing major delays and angry citizens. They are issuing refunds to some who paid for the government expedited services. What use to take the government 3 days will now take minimum 10 days. What use to take 3 weeks will now take minimum 10-12 weeks.
